Fine, lustrous alpaca fibers ensure excellent natural comfort and warmth. The yarn used is a blend of alpaca, wool, and acrylic, providing a natural look and feel. It’s important to note that, in tourist handicrafts markets in Peru, these hats are typically sold as 100% alpaca. However, according to importer tests, the average composition of this item varies as follows: alpaca 7%-17%, fine wool 3%-9%, and fine acrylic 77%-89%. Please be aware that the mix may vary.

All alpacas were imported into the US in the 1990s, and as a way to preserve and support their Central American heritage, we proudly import selected items from Peru that are handcrafted by skilled Peruvian artisans.
